Wood and Paul Newman, the mission of the Double H Ranch is to provide specialized programs and year-round support for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. Our purpose is to enrich their lives and provide camp experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. All programs are FREE of charge and capture the magic of the Adirondacks.

Your Hands Have Touched Our Hearts

The essence of the Double H Ranch represents a little bit of everything good in the world. From the inspirational children who touch our lives in extraordinary ways, to the thousands of volunteers who give their time and talents, we are constantly reminded that those affiliated with our mission represent the core of our existence.

It is with much excitement that we begin our 20th year of "Making Dreams a Reality". Since its inception the Double H has provided life changing year-round programming to thousands of children and their families. Over the years we have shared with our children the fundamental values of acceptance, absolute integrity, hope, and trust as well as the simple joys of childhood.

The Double H continues to be a demonstration of the commitment and generosity of philanthropist Charles R. Wood and actor Paul Newman. From just four campers during our first session, to annually serving over 2,000 children and their families members, the Double H has grown in our community and in our hearts and we have YOU to thank. It is not only the children who benefit from the joys of camp but also their parents, siblings, friends, and the entire community from knowing that there is something, however small, that we can do for those who need it most.

SeriousFun Children's Network

It's official! We are now a member of the SeriousFun Children's Network. Our logo and member name may be changing but what won't change is our dedication and high quality of care we provide our campers and their families!

The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, a growing global community of innovative camps and programs for children with serious illnesses founded by Paul Newman, has changed its name to SeriousFun Children’s Network.

The new name underscores Paul Newman’s passionate belief in the power of taking fun seriously and more broadly represents the organization’s expanding global reach.

With a new strategic plan for elevating global awareness and encouraging charitable donations, SeriousFun Children’s Network aims to strengthen support and bring Paul Newman’s vision to new corners of the world. A renewed focus on cultivating relationships with national and global corporations will be instrumental in continuing SeriousFun’s growth and excellence worldwide.
